It’s hard to find some words to describe the post-match feelings. I suppose I put it right if I say it was an ugly defeat. Just when we thought it’s getting better and “Roy” is starting to work, we lost 2:0 against Stoke. Just before you ask: no, we weren’t unlucky and no, we didn’t lose because of Howard Webb being the fourth official. We lost because we were rubbish. There’s been very little good football. At least on our side. Maybe for 5-10 minutes. Stoke City was were impressive and very lively, very aggressive, pushing forward and they kept Pepe Reina very busy. The goals were only a matter of time and as for us … well, I do not see an explanation for bringing on Ryan Babbel. There’s never a good reason for bringing him on. And taking off Raul Meireles? I don’t get it.
Furthermore I don’t understand why the fans just can’t decide if the support Roy Hodgson or not. Is it that hard to make up one’s mind? Either I support him or not. No matter what happens. The majority of the “fans” want Roy out of the club as soon as possible after every lose or draw etc, and they want him for England’s manager after a victory. If this is not hypocrisy that I do not know what is.
My MOTM? Raul Meireles.
