We had a dream

This is it then. The dream is over even before it properly emerged. England is out of the World Cuip 2010. My St. George’s flag has already been taken down. The England kit has been washed and stored in the closet. See you in two years, mate! If so ... And the bear... What am I supposed to do with all that bear??

The Three Lions didn’t conquer Algeria. They didn’t conquer USA. They didn’t conquer South Africa ... They didn’t conquer the world. Solely beacuse they didn’t conquer Germany. 4:1 defeat hurts. Very much. A lot. Deep. Oh f*** it ... It f****** hurts like f***** hell!

We feel inside like it looks outside: Glastonbury after the match ...

England didn’t play at their real level, though. They played poor and ... well, who’s there to be blamed for the – I do call them – mishaps? More the players than the coach. Fabio Capello is the right man. He’s the best man we can get and we should be happy to have him. Fabio did a good job, he took us to South Africa, but it just didn’t work as it should.

I still do feel proud for our Stevie. I never felt more proud as he was leading the team out on the pitch. Our captain. Well ...

It just wasn’t meant to be. For us. It’smeant for the others. Be “it” I mean the World Cup, obviously. Who will be it? Who’ll lift it into the African sky? Spain? Holland? Uruguay? Or Argentina perhaps?

Diego Maradona’s men have beaten Mexico 3:1 and they are one of the favourites for the title. In the next match on Saturday afternoon the’re going to face Germany, so ...

Dear Jogi Löw, dear German national football team. Enjoy the time in South Africa, buy some gifts for your families and friends, empty the minibars, enjoy the African food, air and ... whatever. Just do it now when you still can! And than pack your bags because Messi and friends are coming!!!
